Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 7, 2025, because the Point Wilson Lighthouse and the United States Lighthouse Society (USLHS) are throwing a Celebration of the Light — and you’re invited! From 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, there will be a gathering at the lighthouse to mark a major milestone: the restoration and relighting of the original 1894 Fresnel lens! Enjoy live music from local favorites Cold Comfort, Marco Marco, and Afterlife. Shop at the Gift Shop and come hungry, as there will be food and drinks available for purchase. There will be raffles and games for all ages, guided tours of the lighthouse, and a close-up look at the newly restored lens. The viewable educational displays share the fascinating history of maritime navigation and lighthouse technology. Admission is completely free! (But if you feel inspired to make a donation, every dollar goes toward continuing the preservation work at Point Wilson Lighthouse.) No registration needed — show up, bring your friends and family, and be part of this special day!
