iNaturalist: Learn how to identify plants and animals at Fort Flagler

Apr 25, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Sea animal Fort Flagler

Join Friends of Fort Flagler on April 25th at 10am for our first in person presentation at Fort Flagler and learn how to navigate iNaturalist.org. Due to Covid restrictions, only 12 spots available! iNaturalist is a free, online platform that assists in identifying and documenting any and all life forms. Kurt Steinbach will introduce using iNaturalist.org. We shall begin the morning with a quick orientation on how to use the website and phone app. Participants can then explore using iNaturalist to identify and document what we might see around Fort Flagler. Kurt will be on hand for assistance, with suggestions on what makes for a successful observation. All observations will automatically be collected by the Biota of Marrowstone Island Project and the Fort Flagler iNaturalist projects.
