Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary 20th Anniversary Concert on the Pier

Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary will celebrate its 20th anniversary of designation during the free Concert on the Pier of Port Angeles on Wednesday, July 16 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This free, family-friendly event will feature education booths with hands-on activities, a life-sized inflatable orca whale, Sanctuary Sam the Sea Lion, marine debris art sculptures and a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) demonstration. The band, Luck of the Draw, will perform live bluegrass music. Learn more about our national marine treasure at this special anniversary celebration!

The original Sequim Lavender Festival celebrates the lavender harvest season near downtown Sequim and the surrounding fertile Dungeness Valley on Washington's Olympic Peninsula during the July 18, 19 & 20th weekend. Created and solely produced by the member-growers of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association, the 18th Festival includes entertainment, relaxation, good food, free farm tours and music for every member of the modern family, singles, couples, military and the young at heart.

6th ANNUAL LAVENDER WEEKEND DRIFTWOOD SHOW

The Olympic Driftwood Sculptors will hold their 6th Annual Lavender Weekend Driftwood Show, July 18 - 20, 2014, at the Sequim Middle School, Cafeteria, 301 W. Hendrickson Rd., Sequim. Hours each day will be 10 am to 5 pm.

Admission is free.

There will be over 150 sculptures on exhibit. We will also present "Fantasia" - a separate display of fantasy related sculptures.

Demonstrations of works-in-progress will be on-going throughout the show & driftwood artists will be available to answer questions & explain the process used in creating these beautiful art pieces.

Enjoy birding and casual, scrumptious dinner aboard the Glacier Spirit as we circumnavigate Protection Island, home to Tufted Puffins, Rhinoceros Auklets, and others. This trip leaves from John Wayne Marina, designed to see the birds as they float by the island at dusk.

Sequim Rainbow Girls is having a Car Wash, Saturday, July 19th, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

$10 a wash for a standard size car/van/truck.

Our Car Wash will be held at Sequim Masonic Lodge, 700 South 5th Avenue, Sequim, Washington.

A great break and a great way to wash away the lavender pollen for the day.
