The Quilcene-Brinnon Garden Club will be holding their ever popular, annual Plant Sale at the Quilcene Masonic Hall (170 Herbert Street). Japanese Maples, vegetables, herbs, shrubs, native plants, hanging baskets, indoor houseplants, fresh flower bouquets, seeds, homemade pies and pastries, and garden items will be for sale. All donations are welcome. All proceeds from the sale are returned to the community through donations to food banks, school libraries and scholarship funds.

Silent Classic Film Son of the Sheik With Live Musical Accompaniment

Called “The best in the world at accompanying silent films” by Roger Ebert, the three-man Alloy Orchestra will be visiting the Pacific Northwest to play a very special event at Port Townsend’s historic Rose Theatre. On screen will be the 1926 classic Son of the Sheik starring the swashbuckling Rudolph Valentino, with an original score by the Alloy. Working with an outrageous assemblage of peculiar objects, the orchestra thrashes and grinds soulful music from unlikely sources.
